since leaving authors positive comments is all the rage right now, this is a catch-all feedback meme for all any of your favorite authors! want to compliment an author's writing in general, not just a specific fic? this is the place to do it!

anonymous commenting is on.

HEY... u know i love ur writing and specifically i love your attention to detail. so much of what you write shows a clear love and knowledge of the canon, and as i'm reading through accidental renaissance your style really emulates jkr's, which in this case for once is a good thing lmao. i know you talked before about how much detail you do or don't have in your writing, but even when i beta for you it feels atmospheric, a necessity you extrapolate with skill through your prose. also i think your animanga fic is delightfully dialogue-heavy, since manga tends to hinge on that so your writing does as well.

It was layered with more symbolism than I could even grasp (I love symbolism, even though I'm awful at recognizing it properly!) and fit my prompts so perfectly, it was fantastic. Where I post fanworks after DW. Almost all fanwriting with a few original pieces, and the biggest cache of my fanfic online that I know of. Love Is For Children is enormous, that's Avengers fanfic. I oopsed some books again. Other stuff is smaller clusters or miscellaneous. I've touched on Sherlock, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Supernatural, Vorkosigan, and sundry others.

PenUltimate Productions is my own website. Most of that's original. However, Schrodinger's HeroesM is designed for crossovers -- anyone can use it -- and has numerous fanfic standalones and several series, many of which aren't on AO3, along with SH crossovers with various fandoms by other contributors.

Feedback in general is welcome. I don't object to concrit, but I don't usually edit fanworks. The original stuff -- which is paid for by my audience -- I do revise when I have time. So if it's the fanfic you're reading, it's less productive to make detailed criticism. Broad strokes can be useful, though. Comment on whatever service(s) you prefer.

I really liked your Stella Glow story about Mordimort! I really liked the idea that while tuning helped, it wasn't a cure for the scars that Kashmistan left on her, and that getting her magic under control was going to be a work in progress. I especially liked the non-sequitor from cakes as a metaphor to actual cakes and how that's helpful to her (especially given how important the witches' tea parties are to them!). It was really sweet! ...pun not intended.

I remember when I first came into hockey fandom, and I devoured everything you'd written because it was just that good. I was very much "OMG I want go be Torigates when I grow up." I love the way you write dialogue, and your fic premises are so creative (the Marner/Strome fic where Mitch keeps leaving his heart with Dylan? What a cool concept for a fic!) Not to mention you write steaming-hot porn ;)

Yes, I like constructive criticism. Feedback lets me know what's working. I will go shoo away typos when noted. Most of my recent work is MCU, with some 616 inclusions. I've also done The Dresden Files, The Real Ghostbusters, The Sentinel, due South, Sherlock Holmes (ACD)-- I've done others on a one-off basis.
