No concrit here, lol, just another appreciation for your great grasp of Elgarain and the lovely gift I got for Everywoman. It was layered with more symbolism than I could even grasp (I love symbolism, even though I'm awful at recognizing it properly!) and fit my prompts so perfectly, it was fantastic. Keep writing Born of Hope and LOTR (if not conmingled, lol) - you're great at it! :)

Ahh, thank you! I'm glad my little fic left such an impression and that you enjoyed it so much - I really had fun playing around with the symbolism in that one, but for the most part I was so thrilled by your letter that the writing was so much fun! And never fear, I'll definitely keep writing Tolkien fic. I love this fandom dearly, and something drastic would have to happen to jolt me out of it. :)

I ❤️ you & all your work so, so much. You don't get half enough credit for all you do for femslash fandom, nor, I think, do you give yourself half the credit you deserve.

(I feel like I'm making a Bilbo speech here! 😊)

On a specific fic note, I just want to reiterate my adoration for Sisters Such As Us. I particularly, on later rereadings, enjoyed Anairë's self-consciousness, the way she compares herself to Eärwen. Little details like Anairë running her fingers through Eärwen's hair, hoping her rough hands won't bother her, really made that fic sing for me.

Oh gosh! ♥♥♥ I don't know about the credit thing, but I absolutely ♥ you and your writing back! And don't worry about the Bilbo speech, that actually made me giggle (even if I don't feel like I can judge the credit thing in any way, your saying that is so appreciated!)

And I'm still happy you loved Sisters! Full confession: I had something much longer and more ambitious planned that ran into time constraints and a bit of fretting on my side because there already was a Finduilas-as-Gil-galad fic (the draft of which I still have in my files and am pondering to finish at some point), so this one was a bit of on-the-fly backstory exploration - something I'd had in my head for a long time and always wanted to write down, because I adore Anairë and Eärwen so much, and your letter gave me the perfect opportunity to do so! So, thank you for that as well, and for letting me shake out how I felt it might have gone - especially regarding the fact that they are sisters-in-law, something I might otherwise have glossed over. ^^ ♥

I love your enthusiasm for all things femslash and women-centric. Running the LLA and SilmLadyLove and everything you do for that part of Tolkien fandom: I very much appreciate it even though I'm mostly a silent lurker. (And I echo Amy: you don't give yourself nearly enough credit.)

You are a fantastic writer and you wrote some of my favorite fics. You hit the right notes and your writing is poetical.

Thank you so much, Indy! ♥ Silent lurking definitely has its place, and I know that I can trust your support regardless of how much/little you participate, but this still means a lot. ♥♥♥

And I'm so happy you're still enjoying my writing, and that these are things you picked up from it. Thank you, Indy! ♥

I fail at words, but I don't think you have half an idea how lovely your writing is. I love the symbolism you work into your Tolkien fic in particular, and all the little details that make your writing so nice. Plus, you do so much for your fandoms and for femslash in general.

You don't fail at words at all, and this comment hit right home in the "thank you, I'm tearing up a little, maybe" section. It means so much to hear that, merci! :3 ♥♥♥

listen..... listen. you are literally one of my favorite writers. you create such an atmosphere in your fics that rivals the source material for depth & vividness, and your characters, whether original or from canon, are interesting and unique and (especially with your OCs) leave me wanting to read even more about them. i am constantly in awe of what you do with words. even besides that, you're the leader of the tolkien femslash army (or... something) and do so much for the fandom. thank you for being so awesome <3

I'm actually sitting here blushing and making odd noises at the screen. That's incredible praise, and I hope I'll write many more OCs that appeal to you, nonnie! ♥♥♥ Thank you so much for this comment, and thank you for having such kind words for me! ♥ Awesome yourself!

I haven't read too much of your work yet, comparatively speaking, but everything I have read I've loved! Your writing is just so lovely. Especially your descriptions. I admire how you can just... slip this pitch-perfect characterization into your stories with just a handful of words. For example... I know I mentioned this in my comment on the fic itself, but Emil had a comparatively tiny role in "A Bird No Bigger Than A Heart", but every time you mentioned him his character (and all his innate kindness) just shone through. ♥ It was really skillfully done.

And your writing makes me feel? For instance, the prologue Västerströms didn't really stand out too much to me as characters (though I liked their section fine), and then you made me have so many feelings about them in "World's Turning Pages". I hadn't even thought that possible.

You are absolutely positively 100% in my top five favorite fandom writers ever. You have an incredible knack for atmosphere and you write such a range of characters with diversity and pathos. I come back to your stories again and again, and honestly there are at least four more of your fics on my request-permission-to-record list because I just love them all so much.

Your writing is as good as ever.
And it was good to see you write Tolkien-related fic again, recently!
