since leaving authors positive comments is all the rage right now, this is a catch-all feedback meme for all any of your favorite authors! want to compliment an author's writing in general, not just a specific fic? this is the place to do it!

anonymous commenting is on.

I love your Sen no Kiseki stuff that I'd read so far, it's written in a way that flows well so I can concentrate on it easily, it really fits the mood of the games and made me laugh a lot. Is that an Adol on your profile btw? Nice to meet some more Falcom fans.

Aw, thank you! Sen no Kiseki is pretty much the fandom of my heart at the moment, so I'm delighted that you're enjoying the fics I'm writing for it! And yes, that was an Adol icon as is this one! I've been playing through the Ys games over the last few months and I have gone from "oh these are okay I guess" to "I HAVE PREORDERED LACRYMOSA OF DANA AND IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME" in a matter of months. I'm really going to have to write some Ys fic at some point.

I have preordered Ys 8 as well, I am kinda torn between 'yay more Adol and Dogi' and 'gah falcom stop changing how the Ys games work all the time, I liked the old ones better OK?'.

Have you played Nayuta no Kiseki or Tokyo Xanadu? If you're more interested in the platformer + puzzle boss thing, those two are probably the best examples now that Falcom has moved more into using a party for Ys. Though honestly, I was always going to preorder Lacrymosa of Dana because Adol is really charming as a silent protagonist.

Nayuta no Kiseki looks fun, I adore anything Legend of Heroes. Not sure about Tokyo Xanadu, I didn't like Xanadu Next much.

Tokyo Xanadu is really nothing like Xanadu Next! It's more like if you took the gameplay from Oath in Felghana, stuck in the narrative structure of Cold Steel, and then borrowed a bit from Persona in terms of "teenagers fight with psychic weapons in secret dungeons that are connected to the underworld". Nayuta no Kiseki is immense fun, especially in terms of gameplay.

Your Hinanami fics are so good. I haven't read them in a while to quote any lines, but know that I love them!

Aw, thanks! I'm actually kind of sad that there is pretty much no prospect of writing Dangan Ronpa outside of the new game for Yuletide this year, because I really like writing the ridiculous doomtp that is Hinata/Nanami. I'm glad you enjoy reading them!

I adore everything you've written for me (and in DR in general, too)! Your prose is fantastically clear and readable and you're great at incorporating game mechanics into fic in really interesting ways. I also love how you can take a canon divergence idea and run it in totally new directions, and how it's always so satisfying to reach the end :)

I remember that I beta-ed a couple of fics for you a few years back, and even though I didn't know the fandom (FFXIII, iirc), I could feel the affection you had for the characters just pouring out of your stories. You had some great turns of phrase too, and I really enjoyed looking over them for you.

I haven't read much of your fic because I don't think we've been in the same fandoms for years but you have a really warm, readable writing voice. It's easy, and a pleasure, to get caught up in your fic.
