since leaving authors positive comments is all the rage right now, this is a catch-all feedback meme for all any of your favorite authors! want to compliment an author's writing in general, not just a specific fic? this is the place to do it!

anonymous commenting is on.

1. writers: leave a comment with your username, writing journal, comm, or ao3. please also mention if you'd like constructive criticism since concrit can be positive!

A million years ago, when the Fellowship of the Ring movie came out, I was desperate for Eowyn fanfic, and your Eowyn/Eomer story was one of the ones that really stuck with me. I just reread it now, and it hasn't lost any of its loveliness or power. <3

oh my GOD, i was just surfing this at random and saw your username and just ???? i remember you from when i lurked in HP/tenipuri as a fandom baby and i'm so happy you're still writing!!! your fic is so funny and clever and most of all it's effortlessly razor sharp. your drabbles especially were incredible and i know it's a super old fic and you might not even remember having written it, but billet-doux in particular has really stayed with me. i just think that you're a really brilliant and prolific writer... i see that you're into YOI these days so i might have to check out the fic that you've written for it :)

I don't know how to squeeze more than a decade of fic adoration into one DW comment but I have been able to find an emotional connection to one or more characters in every story of yours that I've ever read, even the fandoms I'm not in. Adding that your fic has on occasion sucked me into a new fandom. So I blame you for that. In a good way.

Your writing is technically good, but I can very rarely feel any kind of emotional connection to the characters. I've never really thought of why, but it might be that you tell so much instead of showing anything. It's like the characters don't feel anything, so why would I?
